ASSOCOMAPLAST - Italian Plastics and Rubber Processing Machinery and Moulds Manufacturers' Association

Founded in 1960, ASSOCOMAPLAST, a non-profit Association, now represents 170 Member companies, the most important Italian plastics and rubber machinery, ancillary equipment and moulds manufacturers. The list of Member companies, subdivided as per name and classification, is available in the web site www.assocomaplast.org, at page "Members' List". The main aim of ASSOCOMAPLAST is to promote the knowledge and the circulation of the plastics and rubber processing technologies on the Italian and foreign markets.
Through its commercial company PROMAPLAST srl, ASSOCOMAPLAST publishes the technical magazine MACPLAS and MACPLAS INTERNATIONAL which, with a total circulation of 52,000 copies in 7 different editions, ensures the world market coverage.
Moreover, PROMAPLAST organizes the international exhibition PLAST (next event in March 24-28, 2009, in the new Milan fairgrounds) and the triennial regional exhibition MACPLAS, in Bari. Still in the exhibiting field, PROMAPLAST srl gives an organizing support to the triennial event SAMUPLAST in Pordenone and cooperate with the fair PLASTECH in Ancona.
Moreover ASSOCOMAPLAST, through the company CESAP (Centre for the Development of Plastics Applications), technically supports the research and the development of new processing technologies and new materials, the assistance to ISO certification etc..
Finally ASSOCOMAPLAST, on behalf of UNI (Italian Institute for Standardization), runs the Technical Committee "CEN/TC 145", which draws up European safety standards for plastics and rubber machinery.
ASSOCOMAPLAST is Member of CONFINDUSTRIA and EUROMAP.
The current Board of Directors is chaired by Riccardo Comerio (managing director of COMERIO ERCOLE spa in Busto Arsizio); the secretary general is Claudio Celata.
