PROFILE CONTACTS NEWS MEMBERS Contact the ORGANIZATION

UCISAP was founded in 1971 to represent an industry that is a "key stone" in every modern economic system. The field of activity includes the design and manufacture of:
  • press tools for metal sheets cutting and forming and diecasting dies
  • moulds for plastic materials, rubber, glass and others
  • special equipment for machining and assembly
  • special purpose machines
  • special precision machining

UCISAP is a non profit association which survives on the contributions of its members: this means complete independence and allows it to pursue its objectives in full respect of professional ethics.

    The Statute

art.1 - Among the companies which produce press tools and dies, industrial equipment special precision machining, the following association is established:
"ITALIAN ASSOCIATION OF PRECISION MOULD, DIES AND TOOLING MANUFACTURERS" (U.C.I.S.A.P.) located in Cinisello Balsamo (Milan) - viale Fulvio Testi 128.

art. 2 - The association represents the whole country; it is strictly non-political, voluntary, non-profit and non-unionized. It represents the sector and safeguards its professional, economic and industrial work. Being a member of UCISAP entails duties and moral responsibilities towards fellow members and partners.

art. 3 - Ordinary members may use the association's logo, which is registered and protected by law. The logo must be used in observance of the enclosed rule, which is part of the statute.

art. 4 - All the companies whose work is described in Art. 1, employing at least 10 people, may be members of UCISAP. Special cases will be discussed by the board of directors and submitted to assembly approval (Art. 17 - f).

The association also includes supporting members, including companies or holdings whose activities are pursuant to Art. 1, both as suppliers of goods and services and as users; their legal premises may be outside Italy. The group of supporting members appoints a representative who may participate in board meetings, with no right to vote.
The association also has joint members, including companies or company divisions or groups whose activities are pursuant to Art. 1 but whose products are not planned for the free market but used within the companies or holdings they belong to.
These members may participate in the assembly but with no right to vote, and they cannot be elected to the board of directors.

...UCISAP's aim is to be a landmark and a debating area supplying its members with the ability to understand, together - better and faster than alone - how to face an era that is full of opportunities but also full of risks.
The many, continual changes that have occurred - in the past, in the present, and some only to be imagined - influence all aspects of the environment in which companies in this field work: technology, markets, specialization, competition and management.

The awareness of how important it is to understand the facts has promptly led UCISAP to design its programming lines and its social activities, the most important areas of which are:

  • promotion and support to member companies for participation in specialized exhibits in Italy and abroad
  • benefitting the sector through initiatives aimed at rationalizating production
  • selected information to members
  • training through seminars, study and discussion meetings
  • discussions (between members and with other companies) in several meetings
  • exchange of meetings and visits with collegues all over the world.

Since it is made up of mould and die makers only, UCISAP has deep knowledge of this sector, its vocations, its skills ....... and also its needs.

For a long time UCISAP has been convinced that, to be helpful, the association doesn't need to "grant services" to its members; in fact there are many specialists able to satisfy all kinds of requests.

The real, concrete help given by an association like ours is offering its members the chance to set up synergies based on the work they have in common. As one member said, "The best consultants I've ever met are my colleagues, even when they tell me how and where they were wrong".

This philosophy does not preclude UCISAP's promotion of concrete activities among its members, i.e., collective or individual participation in sector shows, visits abroad, etc.
